REFLECTIVE JOURNAL WEEK 2 ( PHASE 1)

GHSS CHERUNIYOOR (WEEK -2) 
(31 OCTOBER 2022- 4 NOVEMBER 2022)

This week, we all had a hectic schedule as we had so many substitution period. All of us tried our best to engage our class with innovative games and activities. On 31 October 2022, we reached the at 9:15 am. As usual we signed the register and went to our tutor to get the lesson plan signed. Then I had two substitutin period in the morning session. I engaged the class with an activity and and I also did a vocabulary game. The students were very interested to take part in this. Later I had class in 8A and I took the class as per the lesson plan. During lunch break we served food for the students. I also had a substitution  period in 8B. At 3:30 pm we signed the register and left the school. 


On November 1 , as usual we reached the school at 9:15 am. There was an outdoor morning assembly. The students conducted the assembly with morning prayer, newspaper reading, speeches, quizes etc. The elected candidates were supposed to take pledge during the assembly. Then I had class in 8A and I took the remaining portion of the chapter. I also had a substitution period in 9A and 8 B. I engaged the class with quizes and games. The we served food during lunch break. We also conducted NSS programme with the students. Then we signed the register and left the school. 

November 2 , I had my usual class in 8 A and I was also supposed to take a substitution period in 9A and 9 C. I made them engaged with an adjective game. We conducted a conscientization programme in the schools. It include chart preparation on drug abuse. Many students participated in this competition with their beautiful art work. After that we had to engage the class 8C and 9C.


On November 3, prizes for the chart making competition were distributed in the morning assembly. Later my class was 8A was observed by Anamika  and Roshni. Then I had a substitution hours in 9C.During free hours we planted our garden with some plants and watered it with the help of  students. 

On November 4, our teacher Sangeetha ma'am came for observation and she gave suggestions related to my class. Later I went to observe the class of Aparna Raj in 9B.I also had a substitution period in 9C and I made them do some work to improve their writing skill. Overall in this week, I had a good experience with the students.

GVHSS, NJEKKAD (WEEK -6)  24 July -28  July 2023 Teacher's Journey As the clock ticked to 9:00 AM on a bright Monday morning, a week of exciting exploration and learning began. I was determined to create an enlightening experience for my students, blending fun and education seamlessly. Throughout the week, we shared incredible moments that highlighted the power of creativity and interaction in education. This was the last week of our second phase teaching practice. We left the school on Friday.  The marks of achievement test was distributed to the students on Wednesday. Most of the students were above average but the result was not up to my expectations. I pointed out the mistakes they have committed and cleared the doubts they had.  We were about to leave the school on Friday so we made all the arrangements to distribute sweets to the students of our class as well as the teachers and we prepared ourselves to bid goodbye to the students.
